Feria de Málaga 2026: City Centre Daily Programme (15–22 August)

Complete day-by-day, hour-by-hour guide to the Feria del Centro 2026 – flamenco, verdiales, folk choirs, dance academies and street events in Málaga's historic centre, 15–22 August.

The Feria de Málaga 2026 runs from 15 to 22 August. While the headline concerts happen out at the Cortijo de Torres fairground, the soul of the daytime fair belongs to the city itself. The Feria del Centro spreads across Málaga's historic squares and pedestrian streets in a week-long, open-air party of flamenco, verdiales folk music, folk choirs, dance academies and children's theatre. Below is our complete day-by-day guide — first the story of the day, then an hour-by-hour schedule box so you don't miss a thing. Every act, time and location is taken directly from the official municipal programme.

Calle Larios in Málaga decorated for the Feria
Calle Larios, shaded by awnings and filled with music, is the beating heart of the daytime Feria.

How the fair begins

Málaga eases into feria on Friday 14 August with the Cabalgata Histórica, a costumed historic parade that leaves Plaza de la Merced at 20:00 and re-enacts the entry of the Catholic Monarchs into the city. The keys of Málaga are handed over at Plaza de la Aduana at 20:30, and the night ends spectacularly: a drone light show over the port at 23:50, followed by a full pyromusical fireworks display at midnight from beside the cruise terminal.

Saturday 15 August — opening day

The first official day belongs to tradition. The Romería to the Basilica of Santa María de la Victoria sees carriages, riders and pilgrims gather at the Paseo del Parque from 10:00 before the floral-offering procession sets off at 11:00. This year the Málaga-born actress María Barranco carries the city flag as abanderada. In the centre, Calle Larios comes alive with two pandas de verdiales, the Folclore Popular stage fills Plaza de la Constitución's surroundings with choirs and dance academies, and the Peña Juan Breva opens its Flamenco en Feria series at 15:00. That evening the fair is inaugurated at the fairground with the Pregón at 21:30 and the artistic lighting switch-on at 22:00.
