Free cultural event in the Paseo del Parque, Málaga, promoting emerging young artists in performing arts and contemporary music as part of the FestiJoven and MálagaCrea programmes. Suitable for all ages, with doors around 20:30. Yolan Postigo has been singing for as long as she can remember. Her journey as an artist began during the 2020 lockdown, when she started composing her own songs as a way to escape and express herself. In 2022, she released her first song, "Desapareciendo" (Disappearing), taking the first step in her musical career. Since then, she has performed solo and with a band in venues such as Libertad 8, the Contenedor Cultural, Malagala, and La Polivalente. Her voice is her main instrument, although she also accompanies herself with the guitar. In her songs, she pours out her emotions, always with a touch of humor that characterizes her style. Currently, she is working on her first album, with the enthusiasm and energy to continue singing wherever the music takes her. Among her influences are artists such as El Kanka, Rita Payés, Pablo Milanés, Silvana Estrada, and Roy Borland—references that are reflected in the warmth of her voice and the sensitivity of her lyrics. She recently opened for Kanka at the Cervantes Theatre, after winning the "Los 6 del Kanka" competition. She was awarded the prize for "Best Song in Other Languages" at the Xàtiva (Valencia) Songwriters' Competition for her song "Las 4 Estaciones" (The Four Seasons).
